These are our scholarship holders 2019/20
The ISA is intercultural and interdisciplinary – this claim is totally justified through our first cohorts. The 12 scholarship holders come from 10 different countries in 3 continents. These countries are categorized on the DAC list (Development Assistance Committee of the OECD) as developing countries, for example Ghana, Nigeria, India, South Korea and Mexico.
The specialist competences of the participants are just as diverse as their nationalities. From highly qualified university graduates through to socially-committed entrepreneurs, with focus on the fields of engineering or environmental science, and the economic sciences are also represented. Some are active in fields of research, others are involved in environment protection projects. Each of the scholarship holders is coming to Germany with a special and unique project goal, many of them already have the necessary structures for the implementation of the completed project in their home country. The spectrum of the various activities is so broad that all the 17 SDGs are represented. 7 women and 5 men is a balanced gender ratio.
The aim of the ISA is to set up a completely individual program to meet the needs of each participant. The diversity is great and the ISA Program is designed accordingly to suit the individual.
We would be delighted if you want to take part in these plans as our cooperation partner! We will continue to keep you up to date with detailed information on the progress of this year’s first ISA group.
We will present all the scholarship holders one by one in a separate news article.
