Itohan  Egbedion from Nigeria is a multi-award-winning Sustainability Professional and Social Innovator with over 11 years’ cognate experience handling business compliance and safety risk reduction. Among other duties, she was in charge of promoting responsible use of environmental resources in sectors like the Oil & Gas, Construction, FinTech, Renewable Energy and leading Project Management and Business Consulting in different countries across Africa. Her academic background is in Chemical Engineering, and Process Engineering. She is also the founder of VertAfrika Limited (www.vertafrika.com) a social business that provides sustainable solutions to the needs of Governments, Individuals and Communities in Africa.

Her ISA project focuses on Climate Change Adaptation and the Water-Energy-Food Nexus intending to set up environmentally sustainable systems that utilizes climate adaptive techniques to address food security challenges, create regular access to fresh food products in urban areas while promoting self-sufficiency in cities and communities.
