INTRODUCTION MICHAEL C. FANNING
“I am going to take part in ISA mainly because the design and implementation of a quality entrepreneurship education in emerging markets is a critical factor in fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, especially amongst the youth, whose startups boost the local economy on a global scale.”
Michael C. Fanning (Born Michel Charly Ompendoguelet Fanguinoveny on the 7th April 1987, in Libreville) is a Gabonese published author of the award-winning University-grade textbook titled Business Creativity and the founder of PhilTech Business Academy, a global e-learning platform dedicated to educate, empower and equip the next generation of entrepreneurs from emerging markets with headquarters in Cape Town, South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Western Cape (UWC) and is currently doing a Masters of Business Administration (MBA).
His research at ISA will focus on building a strategic partnership with relevant international stakeholders to develop and publish the second volume of the series of textbooks provisionally titled Sustainable Business Planning, which will be digitized and delivered as an online business course on his e-learning platform. Furthermore, he is also interested in learning new online education systems from established Universities and Business Schools operating in the startup ecosystem in Germany and especially in Hamburg, with the sole intent to improve the current learning experience of the startup founders currently enrolled in his entrepreneurship curriculum.
