Energy is a fundamental prerequisite for economic and social development. Its access should be more affordable, reliable, sustainable and secure for all. But what are clean energy sources and how can excess energy be stored or transported? Clean energy is a key factor for environmental and climate protection. The energy system transformation is also a central component of German climate protection policy and thus also serves the immediate measures to combat climate change and its effects, climate protection as well as the more responsible consumption of finite resources such as fossil fuels.
