SIGN LANGUAGE WORKSHOP

A round of sign applause to Sneha as the ISA team and fellows express their gratitude for her edifying Sign language workshop. Fascinated and inspired by her childhood story of growing up with Deaf parents, we became determined to learn sign language to promote social integration. During the workshop, we learnt how to sign the English alphabet and count from one to ten.

We also learnt some kind words, greetings and emergency signs. Sneha is an amazing teacher who makes learning fun and easy. At the end of the one-hour session, we gained some communication skills in signing. Being able to spell our names and that of our colleagues was one of our favourite exercises. Thank you, Sneha for helping us to understand that by acquiring basic signing skills we can contribute towards achieving SDG goal 10. it was one of the most fun-filled experiences we had as a team.
