THE GIRL ADOPTION PROJECT

 “I am taking part in ISA because I believe that every girl child deserves the chance to get adequate education and grow capacity to succeed regardless of their financial background, sex or sociocultural environment”.

 

Ebere Marythelma Onwe (30 years old) is the founder and Executive Director of Sister’s Ally Foundation for Community Development and a seasoned Events manager. She also holds an MSc in Food Science and Technology with an interest in Food Quality Control. She is very passionate about Girl Child education and empowerment with a vision to permanently end girl child marginalization, teenage pregnancy and child marriage which is very prevalent in her community.

 

Her ISA project, Girl Adoption Project is a solution initiated by Sister’s Ally Foundation as a wholesome approach which tackles the problem of girl child marriage by not only providing educational funding support for girls from low-income homes but also includes mentorship and business skills training for mindset shift and financial sustainability.
